Shipping & Delivery Policy

At Curiosity Shop, we strive to deliver your order as quickly and efficiently as possible.

  • Ready Items: For ready-to-ship items such as lamps, table top decor, etc., delivery typically takes 7-15 days.
  • Customized Items: For made-to-order products like sofas, furniture, and large orders, delivery may take 4-6 weeks from the date of purchase.

Delivery Schedule and Process

  • We deliver items Monday to Saturday.
  • Once your shipment is ready for dispatch, you will receive an SMS notification with shipping details.
  • You may also receive a call from our Courier Company/Logistics Partner to confirm the estimated delivery date and time. Please note, while we aim to provide you with accurate delivery timelines, we cannot guarantee that the courier service will always follow the agreed schedule or notify you beforehand.

Delivery Restrictions and Procedure

  • Our delivery team will deliver the product to your building premises or as far as it is physically possible. For deliveries to higher floors, we ask that you arrange for your own manpower or laborers to carry larger items up. Our logistics partners will only deliver items to the ground floor or first floor of the building.

Packaging and Inspection

  • To ensure the safety of your goods during transit and minimize damage from handling, many items are secured in wooden crates. Although we understand this may cause some inconvenience due to bulky packaging, it is essential to keep the products safe.
  • We encourage you to inspect the items immediately upon delivery, or with the help of a local carpenter or professional. If you find any damage or defects, please inform the delivery person and contact Curiosity Shop Customer Care immediately. Ensure that the damage or defect is noted on the Challan/Proof of Delivery (POD).
  • Please note that delivery personnel are not authorized to open packages or furniture crates. Their responsibility is to deliver the goods to you, and they are not directly employed by Curiosity Shop. Kindly cooperate with them and avoid requesting them to open any packages.

Refused Deliveries

  • If furniture is refused because it does not fit through an entryway or doorway, it will be the customer’s responsibility. We strongly recommend reviewing the dimensions provided on the product page to ensure that your chosen item will fit into your home.
  • In case of refusal or failed delivery attempts, any subsequent delivery charges will be the responsibility of the customer. This includes extra costs imposed by Curiosity Shop or our logistics partners for re-delivery.

Address and Contact Information

  • Please ensure you provide correct address and contact details when placing your order. If you plan to be unavailable on the contact number, please notify us in advance so we can arrange the delivery at your convenience.
  • Curiosity Shop reserves the right to decline an order delivery if the shipping address is deemed insecure (e.g., communal postal addresses or P.O. Boxes). We will notify you if this affects your order.

Delayed Deliveries

  • In rare instances, some orders may be delivered outside of the specified time window due to unforeseen circumstances.

Holding Cost or Delayed Delivery Charges

If your order is ready for dispatch but held at our warehouse at your request, a Holding Cost will apply.

  • We offer a 2-week grace period for holding your order. After this period, a ‘Holding Cost’ will be charged on a monthly basis for any orders that are withheld. The ‘Holding Cost’ is calculated at 5% of the total order value, plus 18% GST.
  • If your order is delayed for less than a month, you will be charged on a pro-rata basis for the number of days the delivery was withheld.
  • The Holding Cost must be paid before we proceed with dispatching your order.
